Return Policy - Online Orders

At Bella Vita, our customers are our top priority.

Which means, if you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, please let us know. We’ll be happy to return your item for store credit, merchandise exchange, or credit card refund, as long as your return item qualifies and falls within the restrictions below

Items purchased online cannot be physically returned to store. We treat our web business as a separate entity and most web items are fulfilled from our warehouse location. Therefore, any items purchased online will need to be shipped back to the return address on your label.

Qualifying Items

  • Must be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • Must be unused or unworn.
  • Must be accompanied by the original packaging.

Now for a list of online orders that DO NOT QUALIFY for return/exchange-yep, there are a few

  • All personalized / made to order merchandise (see Personalized section below for specific items)
  • Sale items (slash priced and ending in .99), items marked or portrayed as Clearance
  • Select Pine Cone Hill and Dash & Albert merchandise
  • Dash & Albert rugs without their original packaging
  • Furniture and lighting
  • Seasonal merchandise (including but not limited to Christmas, Fall/Halloween, Valentine's Day, Easter)
  • Original artwork

IMPORTANT NOTICE: store credit is valid for one year (12 months) from the issuance date.

Authorize Your Return

You may return your qualifying item for a refund or exchange for merchandise.

Before sending item back, begin by contacting our web sales office at (901) 341-0360 or via email at orders@shopbellavita.com to request a Return Authorization (RA). Please provide the following information:

  • Your name and order date
  • Item(s) to be returned or exchanged
  • If you wish to return or exchange item(s)
  • Reason for return/exchange

Once received, a Bella Vita web sales associate will review your request and forward Bella Vita’s return/exchange instructions. If you have requested a refund, we will credit your original credit card the amount of the item, less any shipping/handling charges and tax, if applicable. Note that returns over $200 will be refunded, minus a 5% fee for covering the large costs of processing your transactions. We will not issue a refund to a different credit card than the one that was used for the original purchase. If you wish to exchange your item for another item, you will be responsible for shipping your return item back to our store. Please keep reading for more on our shipping requirements. 

Was This a Gift?

For those of you returning a gift you received (and don’t worry, we won’t tell), you, too, have 30 days to return your gift for store credit. However, that 30-day window begins from the date your gift was purchased, not when you received it. So don’t procrastinate if it’s not your taste.

Christmas Return/Exchange Policy

We love holidays. Which is why each season, we extend the window to return your qualifying items. Beginning November 1, our 30-day return/exchange policy extends to January 15 of the following calendar year.

Shipping requirements for online returns/ exchanges:

If you wish to return your online purchase for something else, you are responsible for shipping and insuring that item to our store using the carrier of your choosing—and that includes covering the all costs associated with the shipment. Also, and it happens on occasion, any merchandise shipped to us that is deemed as undeliverable is your responsibility to track down and get it to us. Items damaged during return shipment—no matter what carrier you shipped with—is also your responsibility. Bella Vita is not considered liable for damaged returns, and will not refund or exchange the damaged item, or any shipment that does not show as “Delivered” to our location via tracking.

Free-Shipping Promotion Returns Policy:

If your items(s) was shipped in conjunction with any “free shipping” promotion, we will refund you the cost of the item, less the standard shipping cost as quoted by the shipping carrier used to deliver your order. If you choose to exchange merchandise that was part of a free shipping promotion, you will be charged the standard shipping rate when the new merchandise is shipped out. Remember from above, you’re responsible for shipping the return item back to us.

Online Order Cancellations Policy:

If you wish to cancel an order you must do so via email (orders@shopbellavita.com) by 12PM CST the day following your order. After that period, all orders are considered processed and cannot be cancelled. If your item was shipped before you are able to cancel, your purchase will then be treated as a "Return" and you will be responsible for shipping item back to Bella Vita before receiving your refund, minus shipping charges. All orders are automatically processed on our secure merchant processor as soon as they are placed. During this process, several irreversible fees are incurred. To cover these specific fees, all cancelled orders will be refunded to you, less a 5% fee. A refund will be given in the same form of payment used to place the order (credit card or Bella Vita gift card).

Personalized / Made to Order Merchandise

Due to the customized nature of these items, we are unable to cancel an order with such items after 3 business days. By this time, your item(s) will already be in production and unable to be cancelled. Please contact us at 901-341-0360 or orders@shopbellavita.com within this time frame to cancel your order. Here's a list of items that fall under this policy:
  • Bella Notte Linens
  • Jon Hart
  • Items with three-letter monograms
  • Any items that specifically state "Made to Order"

Packaging and Delivery

We strive to package all merchandise to the highest standards to ensure a safe delivery. If the merchandise you have ordered is delivered in damaged condition, you must keep any and all packaging (including boxes, peanuts, paper etc.) and contact Bella Vita in order to file a claim. You may be asked to provide photo of damaged merchandise, which helps us with FedEx/USPS claims and also ensures the condition of the product before it begins it's journey back to us. If the original packaging is not saved along with the damaged merchandise, the claim cannot be processed and any replacement expense is the responsibility of the customer. If you cannot locate your package and the tracking information shows the package as Delivered, we are not responsible for replacing the lost items.

Incorrect Address?

Packages deemed undeliverable by the shipping carrier due to an incorrect address are returned to Bella Vita. We will contact you for an updated shipping address and collect payment for the cost of re-shipping your item back to your correct address. If you received Free Shipping on your original order, and we cannot make contact with you after 3 attempts, your card will be refunded, minus the cost of shipping. 

Pricing Policy

At Bella Vita, we make a great effort to ensure the accuracy of our prices and online content, but know that errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct our errors and appreciate your understanding and patience. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Promotions and discounts will be available online from time to time. In order to receive a discount or promotion, you will be required to enter the given promotional code at the time of checkout. Promotions and discounts cannot be combined with any other offer or used in any way other than stated. Promotions cannot be combined with any free shipping offers.

Please note that not all promotions or pricing are available both in-store and online. If you are local and wish to take advantage of online pricing or promotions you may order online but cannot pick up in-store, as our online operations are at another location.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Bella Vita will not price match in-store prices with online prices or vice versa.
